Developing New Leaders Every Day...Are You Ready?

Through our New Leaders™ Program, Progressus invests in identifying and nurturing future leaders who are committed to providing high quality services, developing innovative programs and service delivery solutions, and taking their career in the direction of leadership within the profession. This unique professional development program and growth experience is designed to transform graduate students and new professionals who have excelled in their university programs. New Leaders™ participate in an exciting, guided three year experience. 

The pathway to leadership can begin as a student or as an entry-level clinician.  Each New Leader is awarded $14,000 in addition to their compensation & benefits package as a participant in this program.

 

Pathway to Leadership 

Career Launch– Year One

The journey toward leadership in school-based therapy begins with Career Launch™. During this year, Clinical Fellows, OTs and PTs are assigned a dedicated peer mentor for support and guidance as they begin their careers. New clinicians engage in activities to enhance their knowledge. Career Launchprepares clinicians by:

  • Providing access to Progressus support systems
  • Implementing evidence based-practices
  • Offering varied models of service delivery
  • Solving problems and addressing challenges
  • Establishing network connections with discipline leaders
  • Identifying career goals and opportunities

  Career Focus– Year Two During the second leadership development year, clinicians are given the opportunity to build their expertise and skills. Clinicians will collaborate closely with our Progressus professional leadership support team, which includes a Clinical Coordinator, Therapist Coordinator, Mentor and Dr. Jean Blosser, VP of Therapy Programs and Quality, to identify a key focus area within their discipline. During the Career Focusyear, clinicians:

  • Map out specific career goals
  • Gain additional skill training through continuing education
  • Connect and learn from experts in the field
  • Participate in local and regional conferences to learn the newest techniques and practices
  • Gain continuing education credit

Experience Leadership– Year Three Clinicians experience an exciting transition by participating in leadership activities within Progressus Therapy, state and national professional associations, or their school district. During the Experience Leadershipyear, participants:

  • Mentor and guide new clinicians through Career Launch
  • Develop innovativive ideas for improving school-based services
  • Lead initiatives and special projects that improve outcomes
  • Contribute to their discipline and professional community
  • Emerge as a Progressus Leader!
